Khalifa City B - 4 Parks, Abu Dhabi

Khalifa City B - 4 Parks, Abu Dhabi

GHD undertook the landscape and irrigation design for the development of the first four public neighbourhood parks within Khalifa City B (KCB). The parks will serve as a template for the design language to be used throughout the balance of the Khalifa City B and Shakbout area.

The establishment of the a strong theme and visual identity form the backbone of the design language; a theme to be woven into all future parks within the same community. This design language is shaped by the UAE environment, which is in turn expressed through the aesthetic, spatial arrangement and activities within these parks. This strategy provides a consistent theme for the incremental implementation of a unified Public Realm identity for the city into the future.
