Social Infrastructure | Many communities lack access to basic social infrastructure services, hindering their capacity to improve their living conditions and to develop sustainable livelihoods opportunities. |
GHD has a well-established capacity to assist such communities with the planning and development of social infrastructure and the supporting capabilities that they need to improve basic services such as water supply and sanitation, access roads, health clinics and, livelihoods supporting infrastructure such as irrigation, transportation and markets. In addition, GHD supports communities through ensuring that appropriate social and environmental safeguards are properly implemented as part of development projects and by the promotion of mainstreaming of gender equity in development planning.
